Kinemastik International Short Film Festival XIV

Kinemastik International Short Film Festival starts on Friday, 27th July, 2018, with Short Film Competition programme, as well as Neck of the woods programme. After that, we have a number of DJs that will keep things right. On Saturday, 28th July, 2018, we have the second night of Short Film Competition programme, as well as Neck of the woods programme. Once that finishes, Krautrock Karaoke starts. More about that on its own fb page. After Krautrock, there will be another set of DJs, till the sun comes out. On Sunday, 29th July, we have our favourite, beloved, the most wonderful thing for kids, in the world - Little Rock People - Children's Film Festival (more about that on its own page). So much text. Kinemastik is an cultural NGO based on Malta, responsible for a year-round programme of film screenings, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, talks and short film production.

The Kinemastik International Short Film Festival takes place every summer and is held over three days in an open air venue overlooking the Valletta harbours.

Kinemastik collaborates with international festivals and filmmakers to bring to our shores a selection of incredible film and directors to experience the islands and the intimate,vibrant festival, now in its 13th year.

Kinemastik links young filmmakers to the world of cinema and provides them with a platform for their work, through local screenings as well as through worldwide distribution of locally produced works.

Kinemastik is supported by Arts Council Malta through a Cultural Partnership Agreement.
