Italian post-rock outfit Mokadelic, renowned for their breathtaking soundtracks, besides their albums proper, will play two exclusive nights at the University Campus Theatre (ex MITP) in Valletta on the 23rd and 24th February.
In a rather unique experience for Malta, the five piece Rome-based band, who have scored soundtracks for Oscar-winning director Gabriele Salvatores amongst others, will play their soundtrack to the hit Italian TV series 'Gomorra' in its entirety; in what promises to be a special musical and visual experience.
The soundtrack to “Gomorra” is an emotionally intense musical narrative, including both spacious, melancholic atmospheres and extremely dense climaxes, all inspired by the haunting realism of the TV series.
Gomorra (Season 3 currently being shown on Sky Atlantic) is currently one of Italy's most explosive and successful TV shows to date. The acclaimed Italian television crime drama inspired by Roberto Saviano's 2008 best-selling book Gomorrah, received unprecedented critical acclaim all over the world and has been sold to over fifty countries.
Mokadelic's soundtrack does the show utter justice. Their dark sound palette and menacing tones fit in perfectly with the unrelentingly tense, gritty and authentic scenes which tear at our TV screens.
Opening on both nights will be experimental Maltese band “Eyes To Argus” who have just released their debut album 'VEER'.
This event is supported by Valletta 2018.
