Cooking has always formed an integral part of the Maltese traditional family daily routine, with great nostalgia almost every Maltese person remembers growing up watching his mum and grandma cooking authentic Maltese dishes. The basis of traditional rural cooking coupled by genuine produce, always make the end result a memorable one. Experience Maltese culture through food & cooking and immerse yourself in culinary traditions. Start this experience by visiting 600 acres of farmland situated 100 meters away from the farmhouse kitchen. You will have the opportunity to choose and harvest the freshest seasonal ingredients, while learning how to choose and use the best seasonal products to cook a wholesome traditional meal. The farm visit will be followed by a three-hour hands-on cooking class to create a whole menu, from appetizer to dessert. Whilst every dish will be introduced by a family story or a local tradition, you will learn the tricks of grandmother’s traditional cooking. You will discover the secrets of the local peasant country cooking.
