Description
The tour starts in Avola, heading north to see the remains of the old Avola tuna fishery. The boat then cruises along the seafront, passing Punta di Caponegro and the white cliff of Gallina.
There are stops in the Gulf of Noto at Arenella, followed by snorkeling in the Plemmirio Marine Reserve. Snorkeling gear, including fins, masks, and snorkels, is provided for all participants.
Next, the tour reaches Ortigia Island for a walking tour. Guests can enjoy an aperitif offering arancini, scones, fruit, soft drinks, beer, and Sicilian sparkling wine while onshore.
After exploring Ortigia on foot, the boat heads back to the sea to swim near the Fonte Aretusa spring, with views of Maniace Castle.
The tour continues around Syracuse’s coastline, visiting caves such as the Lovers' Cave, Pillirina Cave, Turtle Cave, Stalactite Cave, and Glasses Cave. It also passes the ruins of the old Tonnara di Santa Panagia in North Syracuse.
On the return trip in the mid-afternoon, the boat stops in the bay of Fontane Bianche before arriving back at the departure port.
