Description
Begin your tour in Mosta with a visit to the Church of St. Mary, known for having one of the world’s largest domes. On April 9, 1942, a German bomb pierced the dome but failed to detonate during a service attended by over 300 people, an event now regarded as miraculous. A replica of the bomb is displayed in the church’s sacristy.
Next, visit Ta'Qali, a village where a former British military outpost has been transformed into handicraft workshops. Here, you can observe local artisans creating elaborate glass art, silver filigree jewelry, and limestone carvings.
Conclude the tour in Mdina, Malta’s medieval former capital famous for its fortifications. From Mdina’s bastion, take in panoramic views of Malta’s landscape. Visit St. Paul’s Cathedral, built on the site where Governor Publius reportedly met St. Paul after his shipwreck on Malta.
