Description
'Rabat is a city located in the northern region of Malta, adjacent to the city of Mdina. The name 'Rabat' means 'suburb' in Arabic, reflecting its origin as a suburb of Mdina. Rabat is famous for its historical and archaeological sites, including the Catacombs of St. Paul and St. Agatha, which date back to the Roman period. The city also has several churches and convents, as well as a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere.
Mdina, known as the 'Silent City', is the ancient capital of Malta. This fortified city is famous for its narrow streets and medieval and baroque architecture. Mdina has a history dating back over 4000 years, having been inhabited by the Phoenicians and later by the Romans. With a small population and a peaceful atmosphere, Mdina is a popular tourist destination, offering panoramic views, historic palaces and the impressive St. Paul's Cathedral.
