Drop off at starting point at Santa Marija Bay:
Santa Marija Bay is a serene, picturesque spot perfect for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty. Its sandy beach is quieter than the famous Blue Lagoon, providing a more relaxed atmosphere. Surrounded by lush greenery and stunning landscapes.
Għemieri Window:
Walk along the coast with views of Gozo as a backdrop and come up to the Għemieri Window, a breathtaking natural rock formation offering a stunning view through its unique arch. It is perfect for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Santa Marija Caves:
These caves were carved by the sea over millennia. We explore the intricate rock formations through one of the tunnels, which reaches an inner pool. Above water, the caves present stunning geological features and a sense of untouched natural beauty.
Walk Inland through Comino's Unique Flora and Fauna:
Delight in the diversity of Comino's flora and fauna as you walk through the inland part of Comino. Learn about the rich ecosystems that make this island a haven for nature enthusiasts.
Comino's Cemetery:
The abandoned cemetery, though small and modest, holds a poignant piece of the island's history. It primarily serves as the final resting place for the island's past residents and workers. Surrounded by the island's serene and rugged landscape, the cemetery offers a quiet and reflective spot for visitors.
The Abandoned Isolation Hospital:
This is a fascinating historical site. Originally built in the early 20th century to quarantine patients with infectious diseases, the hospital now stands as a reminder of the past. The hospital's remote location and dilapidated state offer a stark contrast to the island's natural beauty, making it a unique and compelling destination.
Santa Marija Tower:
This is one of Comino's most iconic landmarks, perched on a hilltop with commanding views of the surrounding sea and islands. Built in 1618 by the Knights of St. John, the tower served as a crucial defensive lookout against pirates and invaders.
The Famous Blue Lagoon:
The Blue Lagoon on Comino is renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and stunning natural beauty. This idyllic spot is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing on the white sandy shores.
Back to Santa Marija Bay:
This is our final stop where the boat will pick us up to take us back to Gozo. You will get another chance for a dip in the sea, relax, or snorkel until the boat comes. The bay also features historical sites like the little police station and the chapel.
