Rookies is a popular venue with locals and visitors alike as the place to be for Live Sports and Live Music in Malta. The sports bar is situated just round the corner from Bugibba square in the north of the island and is also a great venue for events.
Rookies reputation has been earned even thanks to its extensive equipment, including four large screens, twelve TVs and a sound system that allows for up to four different commentaries at the same time. This sound system is well used for the live music bands that frequently perform at Rookies especially on weekend nights. Live music creates an atmosphere like no other and Rookies is a great place to soak it all up for a great evening out with friends.
In the meantime, the Rookies kitchen dishes out some delicious burgers, bbq ribs, super fries, baguettes, platters and pizza (including the 3ft party-favourite pizza!). Needless to say that the bar is fully stocked with both local and foreign branded drinks and all at reasonable prices.
If you are looking for a particular sport event and are not sure whether Rookies are showing it... do not hesitate to give them a shout, they will be glad to make every effort to screen it... be it basketball, football, American football, tennis, wrestling, boxing... you name it. The Rookies team are also great at hosting birthday parties, stag nights, staff parties and any event worth celebrating!
