The Thirsty Barber
Welcome to The Thirsty Barber... the first 1920's prohibition style bar in Malta! The Thirsty Barber owners have gone to every effort to ensure the bar reflects both the elegance and intrigue of a 1920's Speakeasy.
The Thirsty Barber has one objective and that is to recreate the 'roaring 20's' for your enjoyment!
Ok, what is speakeasy you ask? “Speak easy, pal,” meaning, “Lower your voice.” Before Prohibition was a day old, illegal “gin joints” called “speakeasies” sprang up in basements and back rooms across America! Depending on the part of the country, they might be carefully hidden and open only to those who knew the password, the equivalent of “Joe sent me,” or they might be operated rather openly in areas where the police had been sufficiently bribed to look the other way.
The Thirsty Barber has one objective and that is to recreate the 'roaring 20's' for your enjoyment! True to the 1920's, the bar gives the impression to the passerby that it is a 1920's traditional barbershop. However as you step through our specially designed British Red Telephone Box you enter a luxuriously decorated and furnished environment for you to enjoy and have some fun.
After all with the finest cocktails this side of the Atlantic we have every confidence you will make The Thirsty Barber your preferred entertainment experience... we look forward to welcoming you for your first drink!
