Paradise Bay

Nestled in a cove just off the northernmost tip of Malta, Paradise Bay is a little gem. The road leading to the bay is a right turn on the final approach towards the Cirkewwa ferries and just before its namesake hotel. There is a convenient car park at the top of the beach, which is then reached by a lengthy flight of steps down from the cliff top.

Paradise Bay enjoys beautiful views of the surrounding rugged landscape, the Mediterranean and the islands of Gozo and Comino further on. Coupled with its relatively small size and convenient facilities, this beach can get very busy and an early morning arrival to make sure of finding a good spot is recommended. It’s worth it.

The establishment located on site serves food (including tasty barbeques), snacks and drinks. There is also a lido located to the side of the sandy beach. From here sun beds and umbrellas can be rented and water sports activities organised.

Paradise Bay tends to have a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere to it than larger beaches. It is especially popular with couples, as the lengthy flight of steps deters families and the lack of extra beach space puts off any larger groups. So if you are looking to score extra points with your partner, make sure to head down here next time you are around.
