Rabat, located adjacent to Mdina, derives its name from the Arabic word for 'suburb,' reflecting its origins as Mdina’s suburb. The city is known for its historical and archaeological sites, including the Roman-era Catacombs of St. Paul and St. Agatha. Rabat also features several churches and convents within a peaceful setting.
Mdina, the ancient capital of Malta, is a fortified city recognized for its narrow streets and medieval and baroque architecture. With a history spanning over 4000 years, it was inhabited by Phoenicians and Romans. Mdina offers panoramic views, historic palaces, and the significant St. Paul's Cathedral. This tour does not include visits inside museums, churches, or transportation.
