The tour begins at the Blue Grotto, a group of sea caverns located west of Wied iz-Zurrieq Harbor and near the uninhabited islet of Filfla. From sunrise until around 13:00, sunlight reflects through the caves' waters, creating various shades of blue. Some caverns highlight phosphorescent underwater plants, while others display deep blue hues. Weather permitting, you may opt for a 20-minute boat trip around the caves for an additional fee.

Next, you will travel to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Its colorful market showcases fresh fish and seafood, alongside stalls selling honey, fruit jams, wine, vegetables, clothing, and souvenirs. You will have free time to explore the village before returning.

  • The Marsaxlokk market is closed on 3 August and 21 September 2025 due to the village feast. On these dates, you will spend 90 minutes in Marsaxlokk to experience the celebrations, sample local food, and view the traditional boats.
