Begin with hotel pickup in Valletta and travel by air-conditioned bus through Malta’s countryside to Marsaxlokk, the largest and oldest fishing harbour on the island. Here, photograph brightly colored luzzu boats and stroll the promenade lined with restaurants and cafés. Visit the open-air market to browse fresh fish, local honey, fruit jams, traditional sweets, wines, liquors, clothing, and handmade accessories.
Next, continue to Wied Iz-Zurrieq (Zurrieq Valley) to see the Blue Grotto’s sea caverns. View the 30-meter-high main arch and nearby caves including the Honeymoon, Cat’s, and Reflection caves. This location has appeared in films like 'Cutthroat Island' (1995), 'The Count of Monte Cristo' (2002), and 'Troy' (2004).
