After hotel pickup, start at the Limestone Heritage Park & Gardens, an old quarry showcasing Maltese limestone and its 22-million-year history. Enjoy an audio-visual presentation about the stone’s significance.
Next, visit Hagar Qim, a megalithic temple complex dating back to 3600-3200 BC located on a sea-facing hilltop, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Zurrieq Valley before arriving at the Blue Grotto. Experience the intense blue waters and unique rock formations; a boat trip around the caves is available for an extra fee, weather permitting.
The tour then moves to Marsaxlokk, a traditional fishing village where you can explore the open-air market. The final stop is Ghar Dalam cave, Malta’s oldest prehistoric site dating back to 5200 BC, featuring fossil remains of extinct animals.
