Description
Popeye Village is a unique attraction built as the original film set for the 1980 Robin Williams movie 'Popeye,' now transformed into a theme park open year-round. It offers a wide range of activities suitable for visitors of all ages.
Guests can explore the village’s preserved houses, including Popeye’s house, the school, firehouse, dentist shop, and bakery, all reflecting the film’s 1980 setting. Continuous animation shows bring the characters to life, while a 15-minute documentary in the cinema details the building of the film set.
The park features a Popeye comic museum showcasing memorabilia from over the years. Visitors also have the option to star in their own short movie by rehearsing, choosing costumes, filming scenes, and watching the world premiere in the village theater. Copies of the film can be purchased after the screening.
During summer, water activities include an inflatable assault course, floating sun decks, splash pools, and use of sun loungers and umbrellas at Anchor Bay Lido. Additional fun includes a 9-hole mini-golf course, silversmith demonstrations, and traditional games for children.
Private roundtrip transfers from your accommodation are available if selected at booking, covering specific areas only. This combined ticket ensures a full day of entertainment, whether alone, with friends, or family.
