You can start the tour anytime between 10:30 and 15:30 for flexibility. Upon arrival at the Sanctuary Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady (also known as the Rotunda of Mosta), you will be greeted by reception staff who will provide information and assist with downloading a mobile app that guides your tour.

Your visit begins at the Rotunda of Mosta, a Roman Catholic parish church built between 1833 and 1860. This neoclassical church, modelled after the Pantheon in Rome, features Malta's largest church dome and the world’s third-largest unsupported dome.

Next, explore the underground World War II air-raid shelter, where you can learn about Malta’s wartime experiences. The shelter includes exhibitions of tools, old trades, and wartime photos. This part of the tour is self-guided using the mobile app and printed materials available in five languages.

A guided walking tour follows, led by an English-speaking team member. You will stroll through Mosta’s historic streets and visit locations with exclusive access, including the Markiz Mallia Tabone Farmhouse, a cultural centre showcasing Maltese heritage, folklore, and contemporary arts.

You will also visit the Our Lady of Hope Chapel, built in 1761 and located in Wied il-Għasel (Mosta Valley). The chapel has historical significance and is associated with a local legend.

A booklet in multiple languages and the mobile app provide detailed information throughout the walk.

The tour concludes with a Maltese buffet meal at the DOME Visitors Centre, where you can sample traditional local dishes in a relaxed setting.
