Hondoq ir-Rummien

Just below Qala on the southern coast of Gozo is a little pebbly beach with a sandy seabed known as Hondoq ir-Rummien. The sea here is usually a lovely azure colour and crystal clear making it a favourite with Gozitans. It is also an ideal spot for snorkelling due to the surrounding rugged coastline with a number of small caves waiting to be discovered. In the evening, the beach turns into a spot for a family get together around succulent barbequed food.

The adjacent coast is dotted with traditional salt pans some of which are still actively used today. There are lovely views of Comino from here.
