08:15Meeting Point in Valletta 09:00Departure Fast Ferry – From Grand Harbour Valletta to Mgarr 09:45Arrival at Mgarr Harbour – Gozo 10:00Transport picks us up from Mgarr Harbour and we start our 2 hours guided Tour around Gozo. We will first stop at Rabat in Gozo and have some traditional pastry and tea from ‘Tea shop’ in Maltese ‘ Hanut tat te’. Whilst in Rabat, we will enter the old walled city of Citadella and revisit the extensive history of this place, dating back thousands of years of civilizations. We will visit the Saltpans of Xwejni, where sea salt is still harvested from the sea in the old ways and methods. We will visit the ‘Sanctuary & Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu’. Strong Catholic believes are connected to the Shrine. Locals believe in the granting of miracles, and you can find plenty of votive offerings hanged on the walls of the Basilica. The Basilica is also a spender of architecture and art. We will visit the Bay and rock formations of Dwejra. Here we also find the ‘Fungus Rock’. During the medieval ages it was believed that a particular plant with medical properties used to grow on this rock formation. It is also believed that this rock was highly guarded and who ever attempted to steal the plant was sentenced to death. Cold water will be available on the Trip. 12:30 It is time to relax!! We will now head to our private location in a 400-year-old farmhouse with private swimming pool and BBQ deck. At this location you will find the bounty of Maltese Gastronomy, we will prepare lunch for you and serve you a Traditional Maltese Meal, all included. You can choose between Oven baked pork, Maltese BBQ or even Fried Rabbit. A flow of Maltese Beer, Homemade Wines and Soft Drinks. The traditional Maltese Style. All this whilst you are using all the facilities of the pool and premises. 16:45 Transport will pick you up from the Farmhouse and take you to Mgarr Ferry. 17:15 Departure from Mgarr Ferry 18:00 Arrival in Valletta Harbour If you wish us to provide transport back from Valletta to your Location Please let us know.Includes
